Citation Specialist
We are looking for a Local SEO & Citation Specialist who has outstanding attention to detail. As a valued member of the Local SEO team, you will use your SEO skills to help clients stay ahead of their competitors in Google local and organic search.
SUMMARY
The Citation Specialist will work with a team on Local SEO strategy and be responsible for implementing whitehat Local SEO strategies to improve Google search performance.
You will create and build Local SEO strategies through structured and unstructured citations including directories, rich media citations (photo and video), social citations, and other whitehat strategies.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Citation Building - Ability to create 100% whitehat citations manually
- Create local link strategies
- Manual citation building
- Optimize and enhance local business listings and social profiles
- Perform citation audits
- Citation cleanups
- Prepare citations for phone verification
- Help with Local SEO and citation onboarding
- Respond to customer inquiries through our support portal
- Perform local research and analysis
2. Attention to Detail - Ability to spot and correct data inconsistencies
- Ensure that NAP+W is correct and consistent
- Enter data accurately for citations
- Upload images with descriptions
- Keep Google Sheets up-to-date
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree or college diploma
- 2+ years experience in a related field in administrative support, data entry, citation building, or Local SEO capacity (agency or other professional experience)
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent English reading and writing skills
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Self-motivated and self-directed
